The DeeZee # DZ91716 is constructed of .056 aluminum tread plate. Due to the fact that the box isn't very large, the box is pretty rigid but I wouldn't recommend standing on it.

Interesting question, but a Reese Goose Box is not going to increase the chance of the trailer hitting the truck bed (I assume you are referring to the top of the truck's bed sides) on uneven ground so long as you maintain the same clearance levels and recommended clearances for a level ride.
